Bangladesh Bank Chapter of Digital Finance Forum has been formed
The first ever chapter of Digital Finance Forum Bangladesh has been formed in Bangladesh Bank through a meeting held on 29 May 2021 with the vision of a knowledge-based efficient central bank. Mr. Mohammad Zahir Hussain, CDFP, Deputy General Manager (now Director), was elected president of the 11-member Executive Committee.
The vision of the BB Chapter:
Knowledge-based efficient central bank
Mission:
a) Promote/encourage knowledge culture in the central bank
b) Best use of internal knowledge resources
c) Engage external resources for capacity building
d) Support regulatory initiatives
e) Enhance leadership skills of officials
Activities:
a) Organize learning events
b) Arrange policy dialogue
c) Create knowledge repository
d) Develop contents on:
- Digital finance
- Monetary policy
- Financial services regulation and supervision
- Foreign exchange
- Anti-money laundering, etc.
